It has emerged Bob Geldof has been targeted by cruel burglars just days before he mourned the first anniversary of his daughter Peaches’ death.

Thieves reportedly stole a number of work tools from a shed but luckily his house was left untouched according to police reports.

It’s unclear whether any family or friends witnessed the break-in but Bob was expected to spend the days around Peaches anniversary with his family, her widower Thomas Cohen and two young sons Astala and Phaedra.

A neighbour of the musician told The Mirror: “I am not sure if Bob was there, but I know he was definitely here at some point over the weekend.

”It is a shame for it to happen at any time but even more so because of the anniversary of his daughter’s death.

”I haven’t seen them today and I haven’t heard they were doing anything here in Kent to mark the day.

”The only people who are here right now are a few gardeners and builders who, I believe are surveying the damage.”
