Bertie Ahern has responded, after false claims were spread about him in a viral voice note shared on WhatsApp.
In the voice recording, a woman falsely claimed that her friend met the former Taoiseach for dinner, after he pretended to be someone else on popular dating app Tinder.
However, a spokesperson for Bertie has since told the Irish Independent that the claims are “complete rubbish” and “100pc untrue”.
They continued, “It is unfair that anyone would be subjected to this in any walk of life either political or otherwise. Something should be done to protect people from this sort of thing.”
