Bernard Brogan has opened up about his wedding plans.
The Dublin sports star, who’s engaged to long-term love Kiera Doyle, is set to wed at Christmas time this year.
The 32-year-old proposed to PR Executive Keira in January while enjoying a romantic break away in Turkey – and now Bernard has revealed why they’ll be exchanging vows this December.
“It’s the only time footballers can get married because it’s the only time you’re guaranteed a month off,” he said on The Nicky Byrne Show on 2FM.

“We haven’t gotten to [table plans]. We haven’t sent out the invites or anything yet but I’m sure that will be an interesting conversation because I’ve been through so many teams.
“There’s so many people that I’ll have to invite to it will probably end up being a massive wedding but sure that’s all part of it.”
Bernard, his father, and his brother Alan recently bought the four-star Pillo Hotel in Ashbourne, Co Meath for €8 million, but despite his family’s hotelier history – he won’t be exchanging vows in his own hotel.
