The BBC have shared a first look at Jamie Dornan in his upcoming mystery thriller.
The Irish actor will star in a six-part series entitled ‘The Tourist’, which follows a man searching for his identity after waking up in hospital with amnesia.
The drama will be set in the Australian Outback, with Danielle Macdonald, Hugo Weaving and Line Of Duty star Shalom Brune-Franklin also starring in the series.
Filming is taking place on location in Australia, with HBO Max, Stan and ZDF also co-producing the series.
The official synopsis for the series reads: “Jamie Dornan stars as a British man who finds himself in the glowing red heart of the Australian outback, being pursued by a vast tank truck trying to drive him off the road.”
“An epic cat and mouse chase unfolds and the man later wakes in hospital, hurt, but somehow alive. Except he has no idea who he is. With merciless figures from his past pursuing him, The Man’s search for answers propels him through the vast and unforgiving outback.”
Speaking about the upcoming thriller, Jamie said: “The Tourist are some of the most exciting scripts I’ve ever read.”
“I can’t wait to go to Australia with such a talented group of people,” he added.
