Baz Ashmawy lands HUGE radio gig with RTÉ

Baz Ashmawy is set to return to the airwaves once again – as he’s landed a summer slot on RTÉ Radio One.

The 50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy star will host a nightly current affairs show over eight weeks, and it will be broadcast after 10pm each weeknight.

The popular TV star impressed RTÉ bosses when he filled in for Ray D’Arcy earlier this year.

A source told the Irish Sun, “Nothing seems to faze Baz. From interviewing authors to items on hair loss and snoring, he’s such a well-rounded figure.”

The news is sure to delight fans of Baz, as he went down a hit with listeners when he filled in for Ray back in February.

Baz previously hosted the Weekend Breakfast Show on RTÉ 2fm with Lucy Kennedy, but the show was sadly axed five years ago.

The news comes after Baz’s former co-host Lucy recently revealed that she’d love to work with him again – but on TV this time.

“I’d love to do something with Baz Ashmawy again, but on TV and not radio this time. He’s one of my favourite people,” she said.
