Ashton Kutcher has shared Irish lad Doug Leddin’s mental health story online.
Last week, the Dubliner posted an incredible video to his Facebook page about battling depression and living a double life – and the video has since gone viral, being shared by the likes of the Huffington Post and the MailOnline.
The 27-year-old has now attracted the attention of Hollywood superstar Ashton Kutcher, as he shared his story on his own Facebook page and quoted Doug in the caption.
“What we actually fear the most is that our friends won’t understand, that we will lose them,” he wrote alongside the piece.
Taking to Facebook, Doug shared his disbelief at the fact that Ashton Kutcher found his story inspiring by saying, “This is insane! Ashton Kutcher sharing our story about mental health!”
“I’m delighted to see this going so far and genuinely hope its a tiny step towards us being more accepting and understanding to depression etc,” he wrote.
