Newly single Aoibhinn Ni Shuilleabhain is reported to be annoyed her break-up with Ryan Tubridy was announced hours after passing her PhD.
The ex-Getaways presenter and the Late Late Show host split a month ago – but Tubs decided to announce the news through his PR yesterday.
And sources revealed that Aoibhinn, 29 – who has been extremely open about how women shouldn’t be defined by their men – noticed his ex’s choice of timing.

An insider said: “The fact that the news was made public a few hours after she passed her exams hasn’t gone unnoticed.
“She has always made a point of saying that she has a career in her own right and that women shouldn’t be defined by relationships.”
The former Rose of Tralee winner moved out of their shared house after they bickered on where their future lay.

Sources have revealed that Aoibhinn wanted more stability – after previously admitting she wanted to be a bride soon.
A source told the Sunday Independent: “Ryan is quite the restless type. Aoibhinn wears her heart on her sleeve and on a private level isn’t shy about her needs or where she sees her life heading.”
