Aoibhin Garrihy has had a “whirlwind” few months since her wedding to Clare hotelier John Burke last September.
The actress came runner up in the first series of Dancing With The Stars Ireland, and days after she travelled to Nepal.
The Fair City star accompanied husband John to Everest’s base camp, and they then parted ways last month as he continued his journey towards the summit.
Speaking to the Irish Mirror, Aoibhin said, “My body has recovered but my head is still over there”.

“It’s hard to tell how long he has left over there. They’re still waiting on a window of good weather so once the winds die down a bit they’ll hopefully make a break for it.
“He’s been away from home for nearly two months now. Signal and wifi is limited and there’s only so many games of cards you can play.”
“I’ve never seen less of him since we got married. We’ll be spending a bit of time together. It’s our birthdays coming up so hopefully we’ll get a bit of time away and reflect on all that happened,” she continued.
The actress is preparing to reach yet another milestone in life as she turns 30 next month, but says that she embraces getting older and is ready “to start a new chapter”.
