Hollywood star Angelina Jolie has praised Dublin actor Barry Keoghan, gushing that he is “wonderful” and “unique”.
The A-lister worked alongside the Love/Hate star in the upcoming Marvel film The Eternals, and she admitted she has been like a ‘mother figure” to him.
“I take it, I’m honoured,” she told Virgin Media’s Six O’Clock Show when asked about being his mother figure.
“He’s wonderful, he’s really wonderful. We worked together on Eternals and he is so talented. You know, he’s very unique and that’s a fun thing to see these days,” she explained.

“When you meet certain people…there’s a lot of people who can do good work but when strong, unique personalities come forward and they have their own, something that you haven’t seen before. It’s really exciting, it’s fun to see,” she added.
Barry, 27, has already had a stellar career at such a young age, already working alongside the likes of Nicole Kidman, Colin Farrel and Michael Fassbender.
The Six O’Clock Show airs on Virgin Media One, Monday to Friday from 6pm.
