Angela Scanlon: 'Becoming a TV presenter was an ACCIDENT'

TV presenter Angela Scanlon has admitted she “accidently fell” into her new career.

The red-head initially started out in the industry as a fashion stylist, but has become more known for her TV work in the last few years.

As well as hosting RTE show Getaways, Angela has just landed a gig presenting backstage on BBC’s The Voice.

“I love fashion and I always have and it sort of became a job accidentally – it was never something I dreamt about doing and now doing TV feels slightly accidental too,” Angela revealed.

“I feel more at home in telly than in fashion but obviously I still get to wear whatever I like and have fun with it when I’m presenting.

“I just love the variety and the broadness of working in TV, whether it’s travel, documentaries or entertainment,” she told the Herald.

Angela, 31, was recently on RTE presenting documentary Full Frontal, but is looking forward to doing the live shows of The Voice on BBC.

“I’m really excited for the live shows. I’ve done live stuff before as a contributor and I’m being interviewed, so I’m looking forward to the challenge of being on the other side,” she said.
