Amy Huberman reveals why she’s pro-choice ahead of repeal the 8th referendum

Amy Huberman has revealed she is pro-choice, ahead of the upcoming referendum on the 8th amendment.

On May 25th voters will be asked to choose to repeal the 8th or save the 8th, and more and more stars are starting to reveal their stance on the matter.

Taking to Twitter, the Striking Out actress said she believed voting to repeal was a vote for choice, nothing else.

“Firstly I believe each to their own. And in turn the very essence of that being choice. As I see it it isn’t pro anything other than choice,” she wrote.

“For basic healthcare, compassion, understanding, safety & Trusting Women. Either way make sure you’re registered to vote. #togetherforyes,” she added.

In another Tweet, Amy said she believed women were in danger if the amendment was not changed.

“For me, reading accounts of many doctors and obstetricians saying how it has and is putting women at risk and in danger and how it is as it stands is exporting what is already here,” she wrote.

“For compassion in crisis. Either way, register before May 8th #togetherforyes,” she added.

There was a mixed reaction to her posts, with Amy replying to most comments.
