Amanda Byram speaks out against body shaming

Amanda Byram has spoken out defending Jennifer Aniston’s post about body shaming.

The Friends star hit out at rumours that she was pregnant and the scrutiny of the media for focusing on women’s bodies.

“When you’re in the public eye – and I’m by no means anywhere close to Jennifer Aniston and never will be – I think you get labelled,” the former model admitted.

Amanda revealed the hardship celebrities have to take just because they’re in the public eye.

“You get stones thrown at you because, ‘Well, you’re famous and you’re in the public eye and you’re getting money for that so you should take it and you should take the knocks and you should take the criticism,'” the presenter said on Today FM’s Anton Savage Show.

“I just think that’s so unfair because what she’s trying to do is be inspirational.”

Honeymoon: The presenter admitted people bashed her for posting fitness snaps | INSTAGRAM

The 43-year-old further revealed that while she was on her honeymoon, people would bash her for working out.

“Even when I was on honeymoon I was posting stuff because it’s about the brand and Body by Byram and working out and how you can be on holidays and work out,” the newly-wed continued.

“And I had women going, ‘Oh I’m over you, I’m over your honeymoon, I’m over this and that and the rest of it, go and die, go and drown in the ocean.

“I don’t think it’s okay to talk about anybody in a derogatory manner no matter what, whether they’re in the public eye or not.

“I just think it’s disrespectful.”
