A lot of Irish celebrities welcomed babies this year.
We’ve listed the stars who have had new additions to their families over the past twelve months.
Take a look:
Brian Dowling and Arthur Gourounlian
Brian Dowling and Arthur Gourounlian announced the birth of their second child, Blu Amar Rose Dowling Gourounlian, in June.
Sharing the birth of their second child on Instagram in June, Brian and Arthur wrote: “Please be upstanding for the arrival of our BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER, Blu Amar Rose Dowling Gourounlian.”
”Blu was delivered safely on Sunday, June 23rd, at 13:33h, weighing 6lb 2ozs.”
”Myself & Papa @gourounlian are ABSOLUTELY BESOTTED & actually can’t believe we now have two little beauties to keep us on our toes”

“@effidy_dowling_, you are a SUPERSTAR & we are, as always, FOREVER GRATEFUL.”
“You stayed so calm, considering it wasn’t exactly the birth plan we had initially hoped for.”
“Baby Blu was adamant to arrive on Sunday, the 23rd of June & nothing or no one was going to stop her 😜🥰 🤣 Big Sister Blake, you have been activated 🤩”
The two have been married since 2015, and already share a daughter named Blake, aged 2, who they also welcomed via surrogate.
Aisling Bea
In August, Aisling Bea announced the birth of her first child.
The Irish actress shared the news by posting several photos documenting her pregnancy on Instagram, with the final photo showing her newborn baby lying on her chest.
In the post’s caption, the Kildare native hilariously detailed her “Trip advisor review of Pregnancy” – which she gave a “one star”.
Aisling started by listing the negatives of pregnancy, writing: “No breakfast included. Limited drinks menu. Expensive. Left feeling very unrested. Not as described online or in pictures. Reminded me of the Glasgow Willie Wonka experience. Towards the end of my stay I was repeatedly kicked in the nuts.”
She candidly continued: “UTIs, bleeding, depression, cramps, insomnia, nosebleeds, sinus blockage, migraines, vomiting, being randomly touched by people without asking, bones mushing, organs moving, skin stretching, being told that you’ll forget all the pain/that it’s a privilege / that it will all be ‘worth it’ in the end…”
Aisling finished her post by listing the “positives” of pregnancy.
She wrote: “Bath quite nice. Lots of help with bags at end of stay. Before checking out, nearby kebab shop man provided free extra chips and quite a flirty wink, which I appreciated. Was given a little gift at check out which is, admittedly, quite cute. 👶🏼”
“Heightened awareness of climate change & worst of all- boredom- all described as « normal » and was repeatedly recommended « a nice bath » as a fix to all of the above.”
“Here’s some pictures of the trip when I didn’t hate it/ looked like I didn’t hate it,” the new mum added.
Aisling shocked fans when she revealed her pregnant belly on stage at the Big Slick Kansas City event back in June.
Joanna Cooper and Conor Murray
In October, Joanna Cooper announced the birth of her first child with husband Conor Murray.
In a sweet Instagram photo, Joanna announced the news writing: “Alfie Murray – 22/10/24 💙✨”
In May, the model announced that she was expecting her first child with her rugby star husband Conor Murray.
Joanna and her rugby star husband Connor tied the knot in a stunning ceremony in Portugal last summer.

Sharing the news on Instagram of her pregnancy earlier this year, the parents-to-be shared a black and white video of them cradling Joanna’s growing baby bump, alongside the caption: “Mom & Dad 🤍.”
The news comes less than one year after the couple exchanged vows in Portugal, surrounded by their family and friends.
The rugby player and the model tied the knot in the Algarve on June 5th, 2023, weeks after they legally wed in Ireland.
The couple then hosted their wedding reception at the Pine Cliffs Resort.
Tadhg Flemming
Social media star Tadhg Flemming welcomed the birth of his first child with his wife Alannah in May.
The first-time-dad took to Instagram to share the exciting news, writing: “Welcome to this mad world lil Rae Fleming 💕🥰.”
Tadhg shared a number of sweet snaps both his wife and his baby girl.
Tadhg later surprised his sister Mary-Anne by asking her to his baby girl Rae’s godmother.

Announcing their pregnancy last year, he shared a sweet photo from their wedding day and another of their family pets with their ultrasound, Tadhg wrote: “This day 6 months ago we had the best craic 🤣🤵🏻❤️👰🏻.”
“➡️ Onto the next chapter 👀🥰,” Tadhg continued. “#NewAdditionToThePack #InsertSoppyAnniversaryQuote 😆🐾.”
Tadhg and Alannah tied the knot in Killarney back in May 2023.
The social media star proposed to his girlfriend in 2021, after nearly ten years together.
Claudine Kehoe and Ryan Platts
Irish influencer Claudine Kehoe has welcomed her second child with her husband Ryan Platts.
The couple, who tied the knot back in May, are now proud parents to a baby boy named Emerson.
Sharing the first photos of their newborn son on Instagram, the mother-of-two wrote: “Welcome to the world baby boy. Emerson Ryan Platts born on the 15.08.24 ✨.”
“Completing our lives & our family 💫🥹,” she added.

The couple are already parents to a daughter named Effie, who was born in April 2022.
Claudine confirmed she was pregnant with their second child at the beginning of February, and later revealed they were expecting a baby boy.
The happy news comes just months after Claudine and Ryan tied the knot in Dublin’s city centre back in May.
Holly Cairns
Cork politician Holly Cairns has announced the birth of her first child on election day.
The leader of the Social Democrats welcomed a baby girl with her husband Barry Looney at Cork University Maternity Hospital.
