Alicia Vikander admits she was ‘intimidated’ by Michael Fassbender

Alicia Vikander has admitted she felt intimidated when she first met Michael Fassbender.

The pair have been dating for two years after meeting at the Toronto Film Festival but fell in love together while rounding up goats and drinking whiskey.

“I was intimidated the first time I saw him because you can see in his work how well prepared an actor he is,” she said.

According to The Sun, the actress spoke about the Kerry man’s work quite highly.

“I admired how he can step into each role he is in and yet each character feels very different,” she revealed.

Talking about their time on their new film together, Alicia opened up about how supportive Michael was.

“From the very beginning, he was kind and supportive but also very challenging as an actor in ways that helped to push me and so it was easy when I got there.”

The Swedish beauty also admitted that the couple’s chemistry on the set of their new film was instant.

“I think you always wonder if you’re going to have chemistry with your co-partner, especially when you are making a film which is as intimate and emotionally intense as The Light Between Two Oceans.

“It felt very easy straight from the beginning,” she added.

“I was just back from Sweden where I had seen both Hunger and Fish Tank many years before and I thought he was one of the most brave performers and actors that I had seen.”
