Aisling O’Loughlin will not be returning to TV3, despite previous admitting that she was ‘still in talks’ with the station.
The presenter was axed from TV3’s Xposé whilst on maternity leave back in August – and now, after seeking legal advice and meeting with station bosses, Aisling has decided not to return.
A source told the Irish Sun, “It’s become like a messy divorce. As far as Aisling and TV3 are concerned, the writing is on the wall.
“The trust is gone.”

Aisling was axed alongside Lisa Cannon, who has since moved to Weekend AM, and Peter O’Riordan – who has since moved back to the US.Â
The presenters were replaced by Cassie Stokes and Ruth O’Neill, who were originally brought in to cover Aisling and Karen Koster whilst they were on maternity leave.
According to insiders, the station only offered the mother-of-three a replacement role, which would see her filling in for TV3 presenters while they were on holiday.
“She would have no desk, no seat in the office. It’d be a weird way for Aisling to go back to TV3,” said a source.
