Adam King’s ‘virtual hug’ sign will light up locations across the country tonight

Adam King’s ‘virtual hug’ sign will light up locations across the country tonight.

The six-year-old, who suffers from Brittle Bones, melted the hearts of the nation on The Late Late Toy Show last year – when he offered host Ryan Tubridy his handmade ‘Hug For U’ heart.

Adam’s adorable ‘virtual hug’ sign is now being used to mark National Hugging Day (January 21).

Tonight, the sign will light up buildings and monuments in Dublin, Cork and Waterford – encouraging people to send a virtual hug to someone they care about.

Adam said: “Because we can’t hug each other, I am sending a virtual hug to all of you. So keep an eye out, as you might catch one!”

The news comes after Adam’s ‘Hug For U’ heart was made into a postmark by An Post last month, which was applied to millions of letters in the run up to Christmas.
