Adam King receives hundreds of ‘virtual hugs’ as he recovers from leg fracture

Adam King has received hundreds of “virtual hugs” from people across the country, as he recovers from a leg fracture.

The six-year-old, who suffers from Brittle Bones, was hospitalised earlier this month after fracturing his femur.

The Cork native melted the hearts of the nation on The Late Late Toy Show last year when he offered host Ryan Tubridy his handmade ‘Hug For U’ heart, and now the favour has been returned.

His father shared the sweet snap to Adam’s Instagram account, which showed the young star surrounded by cards wishing him well from the public.

He wrote: “*A Virtual Hug for Adam* Since the Toy Show so many people have reached out and told us how it feels to get a Virtual Hug from a friend or loved one.”

“Well, this week, we *really* felt it – and it means so much. So many of you reached out with messages, calls and cards to say you wanted to give a Virtual Hug back to Adam – This isn’t even all the cards! 🙈😀”

“Adam has read every single one of your cards and messages with a big smile. It has meant an awful lot to Adam and our family. For all the love and all the Hugs – thank you 😊💟”
