Actress Olivia Wilde: 'Of course I have a crush on Liam Neeson and I used to stare at a photo of Colin Farrell'

Hollywood star Olivia Wilde has admitted to having a huge crush on Irish actor Liam Neeson.

The Tron: Legacy actress, who stars alongside Liam in new film The Third Person, admitted she’s always liked the Ballymena man.

“How could you not have a crush on Liam Neeson? He’s extraordinary and kind and generous,” she said.

“He’s just a big friendly giant. He’s just one of those people that anyone who comes into contact with him finds themselves a little disarmed.

“He’s brilliant and truly one of the best I’ve ever worked with.”

Despite being 62 now, Olivia said she first fell for the actor when he starred as Michael Collins in the Irish epic.

And Olivia, 30, herself has Irish roots, spending lots of summers in her grandfather’s home in Ardmore, Co Waterford.

“That’s when I was first introduced to Liam and for me, he will always be Michael Collins,” she told the Sun.

“The first time I saw that movie, I was just blown away and enchanted by that performance.

“I’ve always thought he was so wonderful since then, so when I got the opportunity to work with him, I was over the moon.”

In their latest flick Olivia and Liam get hot and heavy as he plays a married writer who has an affair with a younger woman.

And Liam isn’t the only Irish man Olivia is fond of. The mum of one who is with US actor Jason Sudekis said she admires Colin Farrell.

As Olivia studied in Dublin’s Gaiety School of Acting, she said her entire class loved the Minority Report star.

“I know it sounds funny but Colin Farrell was seriously like God to my whole class at the Gaiety,” she admitted.

“We had a photo of him in the studio and there were pictures of him all over the school.

“He was God to us students because he’d made it in America. And I remember when I met
him a few years later, he was so kind of amazed by that fact.

“I think it really unsettled him actually,” she revealed.
