This is when King Charles III’s coronation is set to take place

King Charles III ascended to the throne following the death of his beloved mother Queen Elizabeth II.

The British monarch passed away peacefully on September 8, aged 96 at her Scottish estate of Balmoral.

The late Queen was laid to rest on Monday, September 19 alongside her beloved husband Prince Philip, who passed away in April 2021.

According to Bloomberg, King Charles III’s coronation is set to take place on June 3, 2023.

Palace sources told the publication that nothing is set in stone as of yet, but they are hoping that the ceremony will take place on that date.

It has been reported that Charles’ ceremony is going to be much smaller than Queen Elizabeth II’s, and previous ones.

Although Charles ascended to the throne just two days after the death of the Queen, the coronation ceremony will mark the beginning of his reign as monarch.

His wife, Camilla Parker-Bowles will also be crowned Queen Consort on the day.

The monarch, who will be 74 at the time of the coronation, will become the oldest person to be crowned king in British history.
