Prince William ‘sad and shocked’ over Prince Harry’s behaviour towards the Queen

Prince William is reportedly “really sad and genuinely shocked” over Prince Harry’s behaviour towards the Queen.

On Friday, Queen Elizabeth II officially confirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not return as senior working members of the Royal family.

The British monarch said that by stepping away from the work of the Royal family, “it is not possible to continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service”.

A spokesperson for the Harry and Meghan said in a statement: “We can all live a life of service. Service is universal.”

A source told The Sunday Times that Prince William was “very upset by what has happened”, adding the Sussexes statement was “petulant and insulting to the Queen”.

The Mail On Sunday claimed the Queen was “blindsided” by the announcement of Meghan and Harry’s upcoming tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.

A source told the publication: “They had kept the interview totally secret. The Queen was not told, the Palace was not told.”

The royal couple will sit down with US chat show host Oprah for a 90-minute primetime special airing Sunday, March 7.

CBS said in a statement: “Winfrey will speak with Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, in a wide-ranging interview, covering everything from stepping into life as a Royal, marriage, motherhood, philanthropic work to how she is handling life under intense public pressure.”

“Later, the two are joined by Prince Harry as they speak about their move to the United States and their future hopes and dreams for their expanding family.”

The news comes after Meghan and Harry announced they are expecting their second child together.
