Prince Harry’s popularity plummets – as he is seen as a ‘liability’ for monarchy

Prince Harry’s popularity has apparently plummeted among the British public, with many feeling he is a “liability” to the monarchy.

According to a YouGov poll, the 35-year-old has suffered a huge drop in popularity since he and his wife Meghan Markle quit their roles as senior members of the royal family at the end of March.

In the recent poll, only 35% believed that the Duke of Sussex was an asset to Britain, which was down from 75% eight years ago.

In the original poll which was conducted in 2012, only 9% saw him as a liability.

However, the figure has since risen to 38% since he stepped down as a senior royal and moved to America.

Meghan is also viewed as a liability by 51% – and as an asset by 24%.

The study also showed that Prince Andrew was seen as the biggest problem within the monarchy.

80% of the voters labelled him as a liability and only 4% believed that he had something to offer.

The couple and their son Archie moved from Vancouver Island to Los Angeles in March – after Canadian authorities stated they would no longer pay for their protection after March 31.

The family-of-three are now living in one of Tyler Perry’s mansions in LA.

The news comes after Amazon slashed the prices of Harry and Meghan’s highly-anticipated biography.
