Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly fired their son’s first nanny following a mysterious “incident” in the middle of the night.
In the Channel 4 documentary A Very Royal Baby: From Cradle to Crown, royal reporter Omid Scobie claimed the situation “put them off” having a nanny.
“So after Archie’s arrival, Harry and Meghan wanted some help to establish a sleeping pattern and so hired a night nanny,” he said.
“Whilst I can’t go into someone else’s employment details for legal reasons, it was an incident on one of the very first nights that put the couple off from having a night nurse.”
Scobie previously wrote about the “incident” in Finding Freedom, the biography who co-wrote about Harry and Meghan.
In the book, he wrote: “Meghan and Harry were forced to let the nurse go in the middle of her second night for being unprofessional and irresponsible.”
“Neither found themselves comfortable sleeping through the night without going to check on Archie regularly.”
According to Scobie, they ultimately decided to hire a daytime nanny as they “didn’t want their home filled with staff”.
