Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to attend first public event together in months

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are set to attend their first public event together in months.

According to PEOPLE, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will attend Global Citizen Live at Central Park on September 25 “to continue their urgent work with world leaders in the pursuit of global vaccine equity to end the COVID-19 pandemic for everyone, everywhere.”

The couple will join a host of famous faces calling for G7 countries and the EU to share at least 1 billion COVID-19 vaccine doses with those most in need.

The event will also mark their first public appearance together since they welcomed their second child, a daughter named Lilibet, in June.

Back in May, Harry and Meghan served as Campaign Chairs of Global Citizen’s VAX Live: The Concert to Reunite the World.

At the time, the couple said in a statement: “Over the past year, our world has experienced pain, loss and struggle — together. Now we need to recover and heal — together.”

“We can’t leave anybody behind. We will all benefit, we will all be safer, when everyone, everywhere has equal access to the vaccine.”

“We must pursue equitable vaccine distribution and, in that, restore faith in our common humanity. The mission couldn’t be more critical or important.”

Global Citizen Live at Central Park will feature a host of star-studded performances from the likes of Elton John, Coldplay, Billie Eilish, Jennifer Lopez, Lizzo and more.
