King Charles has reportedly “cut off” Prince Andrew’s £1 million annual living allowance.
According to a new book by royal author Robert Hardman that was serialised in the Daily Mail, Charles has taken away Andrew’s £1 million (€1.19 million) yearly “living allowance.”
Following his affiliation with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, Charles has publicly distanced himself from his younger brother, and this action will be viewed as another step in that direction.

The keeper of the privy purse was “instructed to sever his living allowance,” according to Mr. Hardman’s upcoming book.
The move came after Andrew allegedly refused to relocate out of the 30-room home known as Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park and into the smaller, neighbouring Frogmore Cottage.
In 2003, the duke reportedly signed a 75-lease on the Royal Lodge.

Mr Hardman, cited an insider source writing: “The duke is no longer a financial burden on the King.”
“’He claims to have found other sources of income related to his contacts in international trade, sufficient to cover all his costs – which would be a welcome outcome for all parties if that turns out to be the case.
“‘But as to whether this funding can be relied upon in the long term is another matter.’”

In August, The Sun revealed that Charles was removing Andrew’s security at the Royal Lodge, which he had paid for privately after his brother lost access to publicly funded police protection in 2022.
Even after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle formally left Frogmore Cottage more than a year ago, royal authorities confirmed in July that the house was still unoccupied.

Following the release of hundreds of pages of court records related to the Epstein case earlier this year, which described how the financier’s former housekeeper Juan Alessi said the duke received daily massages while spending “weeks” at the paedophile’s Florida residence, Andrew was under increasing pressure.
The court filings also revived earlier claims that Andrew had sexually assaulted Virginia Giuffre three times when she was seventeen, including during an orgy.
In 2022, he paid Ms. Giuffre millions to settle a civil dispute out of court, and he has vehemently rejected the accusations, claiming he never met her.
