Kate Middleton self-isolating after Covid-19 scare

Kate Middleton is self-isolating after coming into close contact with someone who has since tested positive for Covid-19.

The Duchess of Cambridge, who has received both of her coronavirus vaccines, came in contact with the person “last week” – according to Kensington Palace.

A spokesperson said: “Her Royal Highness is not experiencing any symptoms, but is following all relevant government guidelines and is self-isolating at home.”

Kate was due to attend the 73rd anniversary of the NHS later today with her husband Prince William, who will now have to attend the event alone.

The mum-of-three received her first dose of the vaccine at the end of May, revealing she was “hugely grateful”.

She said in an Instagram post at the time: “Yesterday I received my first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine at London’s Science Museum. I’m hugely grateful to everyone who is playing a part in the rollout – thank you for everything you are doing.”
