Kate Middleton makes her first ever post on Instagram – and it’s for a good cause

Kate Middleton has penned her first Instagram post for the Kensington Royal’s social media page.

The page is generally managed by a member of Kensington staff, who adds quotes from Prince William and Duchess Catherine when necessary.

However, Kate penned her own post for the page for the first time.

Sharing a series of photographs from her trip to Pakistan with husband William, Kate drew global attention to the SOS Village, a children’s project in the Lahore region.

“The community at the SOS Village is built around family – and the best possible family you could imagine – where everyone comes together to nurture, love and protect the children in their care,” she wrote.

“These vulnerable children, many who have come through traumatic circumstances, are nurtured in this caring environment and are able to form these quality relationships that they so desperately need to thrive. — Catherine”

William and Kate payed two visits to the orphanage during their time in Lahore.

The couple played a cricket match with the kids, and made arts and crafts with them.

William was even gifted a handmade bracelet by one of the children, which he has since been seen wearing.
