Ryan Tubridy: 'BBC staff think I'm there to make the coffee'

He travels to London every few months to host a show on BBC radio, but Ryan Tubridy has revealed no one knows him there.

The Late Late Show host has worked at BBC since 2010, but told Goss.ie that staff think he’s there to make the coffee.

“When I go to London, I go to the door of the BBC and a security guard says ‘how can I help you?’. And I explain to him that I’m there to work on the radio.

“They think I’m there to make the coffee or research an item. But I tell them actually I’m a presenter for the day.

“That’s how big I am over there,” he laughed.

Although BBC Staff don’t know him, Tubs admitted he randomly gets spotted all over the world.

“Bizarelly I could be walking down regent street and all of a sudden I’ll here ‘Oh my God it’s Ryan Tubridy’.  Even in New York I get it,” he told Goss.ie.

“One time I was queing to get to Ellis Island and someone said ‘is it yourself?’
