Ray Foley interested in shock return to Today FM to take over Ray D'Arcy's show

Ray Foley has revealed he would be interested in a shock return to Today FM – to take over Ray D’Arcy’s old slot.

The 98FM presenter used to present the show directly after D’Arcy, which is now hosted by Dermot and Dave.

But the 34-year-old said he would be tempted to come back if bosses, who are beginning their search for a new presenter now, came calling.

He said: “I have a job and I’m very happy doing it. I’m not applying for it, put it that way. But we’re all in the same family, we’re all owned by the same group.

“I was in Today FM previously and I had a good time there, obviously. But I’m quite happy in 98fm.

“If I was approached then I would have to think about it.” However Ray told the Irish Mirror he would “have to be approached first”.

Currently Anton Savage is the bookies’ favourite at 5/4 to take over the slot, with Niall Boylan, Sean Moncrieff and Mairead Farrell also in the running after D’Arcy went back to RTE.
