Ray D’Arcy is the latest celebrity to pay tribute to Tony Fenton.
The radio stars worked together in Today FM, and Ray started
his RTE Radio 1 show today with fond words about the much-loved radio presenter, who lost his battle to cancer.
“Very sad the news about Tony Fenton,” Ray told his listeners.
“I knew Tony for over 25 years – ‘The Tones The Tones, Tony Fentoni’.

“We use the word ‘legend’ an awful lot but Tony Fenton was a true legend. He was the real deal, a real DJ, a real disc jockey.
“Others would change their persona when the red light came on… Tony lived that life. That was him.
“He was an amazing larger than life character. He was just an amazing guy,” Ray added.
Earlier today colleague Ian Dempsey led tributes at Today FM.
