Pat Kenny’s move from RTE to Newstalk is paying well for the broadcaster as his media firm has recorded it’s highest ever jump in profits.
New figures show that Pat Kenny Media Services Ltd recorded its biggest increase of almost €400,000 in profits last year.
The accounts cover most of the 67-year-old first year at Newstalk after his defection from RTE.

The Dubliner who had been with the national broadcaster for 41 years he accounts show that his move to Newstalk from RTE has been beneficial to his firm’s profits.
According to the new accounts, the profits at the firm jumped from €458,059 to €843,767 in the 12 months to the end of June last.
Previously, Pat’s firms profits declined last year by €152,742 from €539,771 to €387,029.

However, the drop in cash is partly explained by the UTV Ireland host’s firm making a fresh financial investment of €600,000.
