Lottie Ryan remains positive after low radio ratings: 'I'm happy with everything'

Lottie Ryan has brushed off her low radio ratings, saying she is “really happy” with how she’s doing on 2FM.

The Clontarf native, who hosts The Early Early Breakfast Show, said the feedback she has been getting is great, despite only having 2,000 listeners on a Saturday and just 1,000 on Sundays.

“I’m really happy with how everything is going. The show is getting really good feedback and it’s coming along really well,” she said.

“It’s such an exciting time at the station so it’s a really good time and I’m just really happy.”

The 26-year-old, who is the daughter of much loved radio host Gerry Ryan, said she is enjoying the early radio slot and doesn’t mind her 4.30am start.

“I’m not really a big going out person so it really wasn’t that difficult for me to adjust,” she told the Mirror.

“Obviously getting up at 4.30am does take a little bit of getting used to but I’m really on a roll now, I’m used to it and I actually like getting up early.”

“I’m fine with it but I get the mid-day slump so I take a nap,” she said.

While Lottie is becoming known for her radio show, little sister Bonnie is releasing her first music video, and brother Rex is making waves in the acting world.

Lottie said she thinks Rex has a great talent.

“I’ve no doubt that there’s big things in Rex’s sights. He’s very talented.

“At the moment he is prepping for a one man show in the Tiger Fringe, so that’s going to be amazing. It’s a big one for him so I’m so excited to see it.”
