She’s about to become a married woman in just two weeks – but Jennifer Maguire is surprisingly easy going about it all.
The 2FM presenter revealed that there’s no worries about things going wrong, or nerves about her big day with Italian fiancee Lau Zamparelli.
She told Goss.ie: “It’s two weeks to go, but I’m not nervous because I’m marrying my best pal.”
And the Republic of Telly star – who will be dressed by Irish designer Kathy De Stafford – will be reuniting her family for the first time in a decade.

“I’m going with an Irish designer, and she’s been brilliant. We’re just very relaxed,” she said.
“We only have about 70 people but it’s going to be great because all my family are coming from New York and Abu Dhabi.
“So it’s the first time that all my family have been together in 10 years.”
Now Jennifer is looking forward to her hen party – and strippers are very much on the menu.
“I’m having my hen next week. He just had his stag and he came back broken, I had to put him back together again.

“He went to the UK with all his pals, but he’s not a big drinker… [for mine I want] no willy straws, no L-plate but strippers are fine – if they want to put a stripper in. It’s all go.”
Then The Fear’s Jennifer plans her first proper holiday in 10 years in the Seychelles – but fears her bad luck will bring the rain.
“I’m taking three weeks – it’s the first time in 10 years I won’t be writing anything, won’t be thinking about anything. I will not be taking any calls,” she said.
“I just want to chill out. But I bring the rain everywhere I go, so it will probably be shit. My friends tell me, ‘I’m never going on holiday with you again’. Because every time we go it f**king rains.”

Speaking at 2FM’s summer launch, Jennifer added that she feels “really good” about how Breakfast Republic is going with Bernard O’Shea and Keith Walsh.
“I feel like we’ve found our stride now. I was in Malahide the other day singing, ‘Girl put the kettle on,’ so things that we’re doing are sticking, which is nice,” she said.
“And we do competitions and stuff we get a huge response by text – and its all been really positive. So we’re delighted with where we are now.
“It takes a while to bed in, I’ve never worked in radio before and we’ve never worked together as a three. So it’s been brilliant. Sometimes we forget we’re on air, we’re having such a great bloody time and I curse.”

But Jennifer is still annoyed by one critic who tried to slag them off just hours after debuting.
“We didn’t have a negative responsive, we have a negative review by one person – and it was on our first day,” she fumed.
“It was unfair to review us after the first day, but what is important to us is the listeners and the response we get when we’re in the studio and people who come up to us on the street.
“And that 100% has been positive, and that is what is important to me.”
