Nicky Byrne is proving he’s RTE’s go-to presenter – and will now join Kathryn Thomas as part of the Operation Transformation team.
The former Westlife star will be encouraging his listeners to beat the January blues and get fit this year with his new 2FM radio show.
He will present Op Tran on 2FM each Saturday morning between 9-11am to coincide with the RTE One series.

The fitness fan and ex-footballer will be helping his listeners to get active, making this the year they finally change their habits and lose weight.
He said: “We’ll provide the soundtrack for you whether you want to walk, jog or run your way into 2015.”

The show will tap into the weekly Operation Transformation events and activities taking place around the country as communities come together to change their attitudes to food and fitness.
On the final show on February 21, Nicky will be cheering on the listeners in the Phoenix Park in Dublin and Blarney Castle as he joins the thousands who finally complete the 5K challenge.
Op Tran on 2FM with Nicky Byrne starts this Saturday 10 January from 9 – 11am for seven weeks.
