Eoghan McDermott vows never to play J-Lo's Booty – as it's 'worst indictment of humanity going'

2FM presenter Eoghan McDermott has vowed never to play J-Lo’s new track Booty on his radio show show.

The RTE star is putting together a one hour feminist documentary, which tackles how woman are portrayed in music videos.

And the 31-year-old is starting by banning Booty on his show – as the video, where she grinds with Iggy Azalea, is “too much”.

“It’s the worst indictment of humanity going. I point-blank refuse to play it. As many people fighting the good fight when it comes to this is helpful.”

He is being helped by his sister Roe – who is a well-known feminist writer – with Eoghan wanting to show how woman are “objectified”.

It comes as he is set to front a new comedy pilot for RTE – You Choose Or You Lose – with Love/Hate’s Aaron Heffernan one of the guests.

Fighting back: Eoghan won’t play objectifying songs | BRIAN MCEVOY

“It’s a bit like Would You Rather – with comedians. I think it was made with half an eye on the UK market, which happens with new formats – they’re made to be optioned everywhere,” he told the Herla.d

“There’s an awful lot of comedy talent in Ireland and a lot of them seem to fall by the wayside. You just need to have that fire ignited.”
