2FM presenter Louise McSharry has convinced herself she will be okay from cancer – after her first session of chemo.
The RTE star admits she felt “rubbish” for a “few days” after her first session to fight lymphomia, which is cancer of the white blood cells.
But Louise – who admits she is taking it “one day at a time” – now feels she is definitely “going to be okay”.
Tough going: Louise has already started chemo
“I’ve had my first bout of chemo, and my first few days of feeling rubbish as a result,” she wrote in the Irish Independent.
“My toilet functions have become an obsession. I’ve bought a wig. You know, cancer stuff!
“There are good days and bad days but to borrow an expression from another ailment, I’m taking it one day at a time. I’m okay. I’m going to be okay.”
Wig shopping: Louise is happy with her choice
The 31-year-old previously told how she has bought a wig for when her hair falls out.
But Louise said: “Am now convinced my hair will remain on my head to spite me and the hundreds of euro.”
