Here in Goss HQ we’re always looking for the next hot spot, and I’m not going to lie, I would never look at O’Connell Street to find out next favourite eatery.
But I’m happily surprised to say I’ve found the perfect place there – while the street is more known for takeaways and fast food, Flanagan’s is a much need addition.
I decided to bring my mate out for her birthday to try out Flanagan’s and we were left with very happy bellies and a smile on our face.
The interiors are very swanky, and with the cold weather outside it’s the perfect place to get cosy and tuck into a generous menu.
We started off with two glasses of prosecco (because why not?) and the second I saw Mussels on the menu I clapped in happiness – it is so hard to find a decent Mussels dish in Dublin but I have – it lives in Flanagan’s.
After that I had to force myself (yeah right) to get this scrumptious Belgian Waffle – it was as ridiculously tasty as it looks.
After dinner I checked out the uber swish Speakeasy Lounge downstairs – perfect for a private event or party.
Perfect for a stylish gathering, the room comes complete with a piano too.
I wouldn’t often venture down O’Connell Street but I definitely will again to treat myself to some Prosecco and Mussels again…
