Goss Media is delighted to announce the appointment of Sophie Clarke as the new Deputy Editor for Goss.ie.
The DIT Journalism graduate joined the Goss Media team at the beginning of 2020, and has been a Showbiz Reporter for the last 12 months.
In her new role, Sophie will continue to report to Goss.ie Editor Kendra Becker, who joined the team in 2015.
Sophie will aid in the management of the site and social channels, as well as helping to manage the editorial team.
Speaking about her new role, Sophie said:
“I’m delighted to be joining the senior editorial team.
I’ve learned so many new skills the past year working with Goss.ie and love being part of a female-run company.
It has been a pleasure learning from both Kendra and Ali and I’m so excited for what’s to come in the year ahead and to continue working with such a great team.”
Goss.ie Founder Alexandra Ryan, who made the appointment said:

“She joined the team right at the beginning of the pandemic and flourished in both her editorial and management tasks throughout the year.
“Giving her more responsibility was a no-brainer, given her dedication to this company and the quality of her work.”

The promotion comes after the appointment of two new Junior Business Development Executives to Goss Media, with Meghan Morris and Katie Cassidy joining the team.
