Una Foden could be set to finally bring out a solo record – after her band is taking the rest of the year off.
The Saturdays have decided to go on hiatus for a few months after they finish their Greatest Hits Tour.
It will allow Frankie Sandford to compete on Strictly Come Dancing – and give Una and the other girls for their own solo projects.
Already, the Tipperary singer has admitted she is interested in a solo album and is likely to hit the studio.
Band: Una with the rest of the Saturdays
“They’ve been working pretty much non-stop for six years and want some time off to focus on all their various solo interests,” a source said.
“The girls want to be like the female Take That — go off and spend time working on their own but coming back together for big releases and performances.”
Already Una has insisted the band won’t be splitting after this tour.
And now it has emerged in The Sun that The Saturdays have been secretly recording a Christmas album, just like former rivals Girls Aloud once did.
