The Script sell out ALL Croke Park tickets in less than FOUR hours

The Script have sold out their show in Croke Park – after selling all 82,000 tickets just four hours after they went on sale.

The Dublin rockers were announced last week as playing the GAA stadium along with Pharrell Williams.

Standing tickets for the show, will take place on June 20, all sold out an hour after they were put up for grabs at 9am.

An MCD spokesman said: “Following phenomenal demand this morning tickets for The Script’s Croke Park headliner are now sold out.”

Previously, the Dublin lads have said they are “delighted” to perform their biggest gig ever.

Previously Mark Sheehan told Goss.ie that the group weren’t worried about selling out all the shows.

He laughed: “I think we’re more nervous about the weather than the ticket sales, with Bono being able to call Bill Clinton every night, we’re going to call Garth Brooks.”

Frontman Danny said they “always try to progress the band on” but love “the electricity that we get from performing in front of a crowd, this is our home town.”

He added: “I wouldn’t feel right if at some point during our career we didn’t get to play Croke Park. When I come off stage it will be the item for me ticked off the bucket list.”

It is the first time that Danny O’Donoghue, Glen Power and Mark Sheehan have played Croke Park, with their biggest date to 55,000 at the Aviva Stadium.

The last band to play Croke Park was One Direction in May, following on from Westlife’s two farewell dates.
