Shane Filan has revealed he is completely out of touch with his Westlife bandmates – and may text them “the odd time every few months”.
The World Of Our Own band toured the world together and were the best of friends before they split in 2012 after 14 years together.
But Shane, 35, has admitted that the relationship is well and truly over at this point,
“We don’t really keep in touch, we’d text each other the odd time every few months,” he said.

“But no, we don’t really see each other. There’s no bitterness or bad vibes we just all have different things going on in our lives at the moment.”
The Sligo native has had a rough few years after declaring bankruptcy back in 2012 – but told the RTE Guide he is now much happier.
Asked what keeps his spirits up, he said: “Honesty just being on stage and singing and people liking my music. Simple things.
“I gotta go and make a great album next year, I have a couple of good songs already but I want to better it and find a couple of absolute scorchers.
“Because that’s how people know you: one killer song can change everything for you.”
