Sinead O'Connor blasts Band Aid critics: 'They should shut the f**k up'

Sinead O’Connor has blasted critics of the Band Aid 30 singer, insisting they should “shut the f**k up”.

The Wicklow star is furious that artists including Lily Allen have called the Ebola-fighting charity single “smug”.

And Sinead, 47, is also annoyed at Emeli Sande attacking the lyrics after singing on Bob Geldof’s project.

She told the Telegraph: “I think everyone should shut the f**k up. If you didn’t like the lyrics you shouldn’t have agreed to sing the song.

“I think it’s smug of Lily Allen to say it’s smug. The assumption that anyone performing on the record has not privately given money is exactly that, an assumption.

“And who gives a f**k what Damon f**king Albarn thinks?” She added: “Excuse my honesty, I’m too old for bulls**t”.

Recently Blur’s Damon Albarn queried whether the single was a suitable way of tackling the Ebola crisis.

It comes as Bressie told Goss.ie he wanted Bob Geldof to stop “flogging” the Christmas hit.
