Do They Know It’s Christmas? will go up against the X Factor winner in a bid for the Xmas No1 in the UK and Ireland this year.

The original Band Aid track, released in 1984, was then the biggest-selling single of all time in the UK.

And Band Aid 20 was the fastest-selling single of 2004 – staying at No1 for four weeks.
