Nicky Byrne has revealed what went on behind the scenes during his Westlife days.
The singer, who is currently in Sweden preparing for the Eurovision, admitted that Shane Filan used to do the bands makeup, admitting he made them look like Brad Pitt.
“Being in Westlife taught me how to put on make-up, which is an incredible thing to admit,” he told the Sunday Independent.
“The best make-up artist we had was Shane [Filan], even at contouring. He had us all looking like Brad Pitt! It was great travelling as a gang, especially in the early days.”

Although the band mates became like brothers, Â Nicky admitted that the guys had plenty of opportunities to punch each other.
“There were plenty of opportunities to punch the heads off each other, but thankfully we never did,” he admitted.
“I’m delighted we’ve all remained friends – it would have been very easy to fall out.
“As well as performing, you are also running a business and making decisions. We screamed and went head to head at times, but that’s part and parcel for any man being involved in that environment,” he explained.

Speaking about the how the band moved on, Nicky admitted as soon as money started coming in the band mates started focusing on their personal lives.
“Once the big cheques started coming in, the team broke away a little,” he revealed.
“We bought apartments so weren’t living in hotels together any more. Then girlfriends and wives came into the picture and things changed again. When we knew we were splitting up, we really just enjoyed touring again.”
