Nicki Minaj has announced that the release date of her upcoming album, Queen, has been pushed back.
The rapper will be competing with Ariana Grande as both of their albums are set to be released on 17th August.
Nicki announced the delay of her album in a note on her Apple Music Takeover playlist, “Can’t wait for you guys to hear my 4th album QUEEN ON AUGUST 17!!!!!!!”
The 35-year-old put a poll on Twitter asking fans whether she should delay the release date of her album, as she sampled Tracy Chapman, but she does not have clearance to use the singer’s music yet.

This is the second time that Nicki has delayed the release date for ‘Queen’ and fans began speculating that she pushed the date back to compete with Ariana’s album.
The pair seem to be good friends as they have already released five singles together.
The singers made it clear that there was no bad blood between them, as they took to Twitter to show their support for each other.

Nicki’s album, ‘Queen’ and Ariana’s album, ‘Sweetener’ are both set to be released on August 17th.
