Niall Horan's 'dream coming true' playing Croke Park – and already wants to return

One Direction star Niall Horan has confessed that playing Croke Park is the highlight of his career.

The Mullingar sensation told his family he’ll be an emotional wreck when he gets to play at the home of GAA this weekend – the same place he auditioned for X Factor four years ago.

And big brother Greg revealed that the 20-year-old already wants to schedule more Croke Park performances.

“It’s just incredible to think Niall is playing Croke Park — they’ve already achieved so, so much in just a few short years and now this,” he said.

“I know Niall is very excited about the dates, it’s something special for him. He said to me, ‘The O2 was a dream, then the National Convention Centre, then a stadium tour, then Madison Square Garden and now Croke Park!’

“This is the big one for Niall, no doubt about it. I’d say Niall would have them do Croker every year if he could.

“He’s hardly ever been there before either, so he’s really looking forward to it all and it has definitely always been a goal of his to play there. We’re all so excited, it’s just unbelievable.”

And Greg confirmed that all of the Horans will be attending the Croke Park shows, as Goss.ie previously reported.

He said: “The entire family will be there to support Niall over the few days that the concerts are on.

“Our granny is travelling up for it, she’s his biggest fan and his success has meant so much to her.”
