Niall Horan’s 5 MILLION euro deal that took him from Simon Cowell

Niall Horan left Simon Cowell’s record company when Universal Music offered him a WHOPPER deal.

The Mullingar musician had been with Simon’s record label Syco with One Direction, but made a surprise decision to leave and join the Universal family when he decided to go solo.

Niall, 23, had been focusing on his golf scouting business as well as enjoying some time off, but came out with his first solo track This Town, earlier this month.

Now insiders have revealed Niall decided to join Universal when they gave him an offer he couldn’t refuse.

“Universal were initially after Harry Styles but when he turned them down they turned all their attention to Niall,” a source told the Irish Mail On Sunday.

“It was readily believed that Simon had Niall in his pocket and it came as a real surprise when he went with a rival record label.

“The deal is for a global release and is, without doubt, one of the biggest since the digital age took over.

“It shows you just how popular Niall is as a brand in the States,” the source explained.

Since dropping his first track, Niall has performed his son on The Ellen Show, as well as on James Corden’s Late Late Show.
