Niall Horan has responded to a BBC radio presenter after he unnecessarily slammed the singer at Royal Ascot.
The music star, who was enjoying the British horse racing with his family, refused an interview with Tim Dellor of BBC Berkshire and the presenter had some harsh words about the Mullingar man.
“I didn’t actually know who he was anyway, to be honest. I had to ask my producer,” Tim said on-air after the exchange.

“He looked like he was taking himself quite seriously; a lot of bodyguards around. I didn’t have any clue who he was, but the snappers obviously did.
“He’s not dressed properly, either. He’s only in a normal lounge suit,” he explained.
“He had sunglasses on and was trying to stand up and straight as he possibly could to give himself an extra bit of height.
Not standing for it: Niall didn’t take the harsh comments lying down | VIPIRELAND.COM
“It was the most unimpressive performance by a celebrity who I didn’t know who it was.”
However, Niall wasn’t taking the radio host’s words lying down and rightly stood up for himself on Twitter.
“What are you on about mate? I was having a day out with my family who also enjoy horse racing big time,” he wrote.
