Niall Horan set to be hired as soccer advisor at bandmate Louis' new club

One Direction star Niall Horan looks set to be hired as an advisor at bandmate Louis Tomlinson’s new football club.

The 1D sensation yesterday became the new owner of Doncaster Rovers FC and hopes his Mullingar pal can help him.

He hopes to bring in Niall as an adviser due to his close links with Chelsea FC, where he was helped rehabilitate following knee surgery.

“Niall’s connected. He’s so in with Chelsea these days,” Louis said. “I’ve been speaking to him about trying to get in with Jose Mourinho — who knows what’ll come of that!”

He may however have problems getting Niall to make the switch from his beloved Derby County, who he’s supported since a youngster.

And Louis revealed that Niall was “very, very excited” about getting involved with the club after getting his bandmates blessing.

“With anything like this, it’s always polite and nice to ask. It’s nice to have their backing,” he told the Sun.

“I said, ‘Look boys, I’m going to do this. Do any of you have any problems with it?’ All the boys were super-supportive — especially Niall, who is very, very excited.

However One Direction won’t be splitting now. He said: “Football is definitely not a bigger passion than music — the two are on a par.

“I am fully aware that I am ridiculously lucky to be involved in both. I couldn’t choose between the two.”
