Niall Horan insists he hasn't been planning solo career – as band are here to stay

Niall Horan has hit out at claims from their boss that One Direction is set to split soon.

The X Factor stars’ manager Simon Cowell recently said they will only make “two more albums together” before going their separate ways.

But Mullingar singer Niall told fans they are going no-where, adding: “I’m here to squash the rumours.”

He said: “It was clearly, obviously misquoted or something. We’re going to go as long as we can, as long as people want us, we’re here. None of that rumours business.”

And Niall admitted he hasn’t even thought about a career when One Direction ends.

“I don’t want to think about that at the minute. I’m still here, still with the band,” he told the Irish Sun.

“I don’t need to think about that at all — I’m having a great time here, touring and having the craic with everyone and we’re all still having a great laugh.

“We’ve got another album at the end of the year and doing our business as we do on a kind of yearly basis, so we’re not thinking of doing anything like that.

“I’m not thinking of what I’m going to have to do after just yet.”
