Jenny Greene will be joining the RTE Orchestra as the newest addition to the Electric Picnic line-up.
The new collaboration will be an experimental gig with the 2FM DJ’s dance music mixing with the classical styling from the orchestra.
“This is an amazing collab between the RTE concert orchestra and our very own dance DJ to the stars Jenny Greene,” Nicky Byrne revealed.

Gavin Murphy, a ranger and composer working with the RTE Concert Orchestra, admitted that it was the first time for something like this to happen at an Irish festival.
“It’s never happened before at an Irish festival for sure to have something like this,” he told Nicky on his 2FM show The Nicky Byrne Show with Jenny Greene.
“In a nutshell, Jenny is going to be doing her set live with the decks, the whole deal, she’ll be there for the whole thing.
“We’re going to be playing along accompanying Jenny with her set.
“Sometimes she will take the lead, sometimes we’ll take the lead but most of the time we’ll be joined together playing live.”
Expect to find Jenny and the orchestra playing in the Rankins Wood on the Friday night at 9pm and the entire show will be broadcasted live from 2FM.
